And of course, there’ll blockbusters galore, from Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning - Part One to Fast X and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Established auteurs like Wes Anderson ( Asteroid City) and Paul Schrader ( Master Gardener) will share marquee space with emerging ones like Celine Song, whose stunning debut Past Lives left Sundance swooning in January. We’ll see the long-awaited return of R-rated studio comedies, with openings like Strays (think Homeward Bound with more F-bombs), the Jennifer Lawrence-starring No Hard Feelings, and Joy Ride, the directorial debut of Crazy Rich Asians writer Adele Lim. There’ll be blood on the streets and butts in theater seats as Greta girlies throw hands against Nolan bros, but that’s not the only coming attraction this summer.
